Join us for our holiday celebration. Learn about our Conservation Committee, vote to accept our 2024 Year End Financial Statements and play our Annual OOS Trivia Challenge.
When: Sunday December 15, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm
Where: Nepean Sportsplex, 1701 Woodroffe Ave. in Hall F (Enter through door 2 from the rear parking lot)
Please join us to celebrate the season at our December meeting. This is a hybrid meeting: members look for the Zoom invitation to register. Our guests online will be able to enjoy the presentation and OOS business, participate in the OOS Trivia Challenge and see the Show Table. Please join us online if you feel unwell.
There will be three short presentations:
- A short presentation on what the Conservation Committee has been up to and what the future holds. We need more volunteers, and all are welcome.
- Acceptance of our 2024 year-end financial statements. Our year-end was June 30. Doug Vye will be available to answer any questions. It is important that everyone votes.
- An introduction to the Nomination process for our biannual elections at the May meeting.
And of course, we will play the OOS Trivia Challenge; you will work in convivial groups with refreshments to answer some questions and perhaps win prizes!
Those who ordered from Manu's Orchids will pick them up at the meeting. In -person attendees, feel free to bring seasonal baked goods, or sweets, cheese trays with crackers, fruit and vegetable trays only. Please DO NOT bring anything that could spoil if left out on a table like shrimp, sausages, deviled eggs etc. They will be removed.
Please note: There will be NO Gift Exchange this year. Instead, everyone will receive one raffle ticket. Feel free to bring a donation for the raffle table. You may also want to donate some funds for a Conservation Organization to be declared by the Conservation Committee.
