Alan Koch of Gold Country Orchids will join us to speak on Miniature Cattleya.  We will launch our new "Growing Together" program.

When: Sunday September 15, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm (4th Sunday in May)

Where: Nepean Sportsplex, 1701 Woodroffe Ave. in Hall C/D (Enter through door 4  from the rear parking lot)

Note: This meeting will be held in Hall C/D at the Nepean Sportsplex.  The remainder of our meetings will be held in Hall F as usual.

Please join us at the first OOS meeting of the 2024-5 season to hear Alan Koch speak via Zoom about Miniature Cattleya hybrids and how to keep them healthy and blooming.

Alan Koch owns and operates Gold Country Orchids where he specializes in miniature and compact Cattleya along with miniature species. He is recognized as an expert in the Brazilian Cattleya alliance and a trend setter in miniature compact and Cattleya breeding. Alan has been published in the Orchid Digest, the American Orchid Society magazine, Orchids, as well as many International Publications. As well as serving on the executive of the Orchid Digest, AOS and International Phalaenopsis Alliance, Alan is an engaging and experienced speaker on the international stage.

The meeting will be a hybrid meeting.  Information for online registration to Zoom will be sent out to our members approximately 7 days prior. We will have the usual Show Table, raffle and refreshments.  Members, please bring your plants to the show table by 1:40 pm to allow time for judging. This year, our breaks during the meeting will be a little longer to accommodate our “Growing Together” teams to meet and provide some time for members to access our “Ask Me Anything” experts. If you are feeling unwell, please consider joining us via Zoom.
